Kaya is a California transplant from North Carolina, where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University. In graduate school she was introduced to the practice of neurologic physical therapy and after the incredible experience of helping someone learn to walk again following a stroke, decided to focus her physical therapy career on treating neurological injuries and diseases.

I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2014 with a degree in Exercise Science while playing Division I softball and then completed my doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2018 at South College. I am in in the final stages of completing my orthopedic residency to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist.
